Friends - We just received the following e-mail from Bob Brockway's daughter. "Brocky" was a skilled technician from WLWT's earliest days. We always hoped that he might visit during one of our luncheons. He was so much a part of the early days of TV - great memories.

At the YouTube link which follows, Bob can be seen running an old TK10 studio camera at 24 seconds after the beginning (right after the over-the-shoulder shot of Burt Farber at the piano). Bob turns toward the photographer.

We offer our sincere sympathy to Betsy and to all of Bob's family. We were fortunate to have known him.

Dear Mrs. Underwood:

I have been picking up my father Robert M. Brockway's mail, including the recent notice for the WLW/WLWT luncheon in September

I am sorry to inform you that my father passed away on Aug. 26, 2009.

I have just discovered a blog by a friend of mine - Michael Banks. The description on the title block says it all:

Powel Crosley Blog
Discussions of the book CROSLEY: Two Brothers and a Business Empire that Transformed the Nation, as well as the life of Powel Crosley, Jr., Crosley cars, radios, broadcasting, WLW, aircraft, and related topics. Check here often for new information uncovered since the book was published. This is the Official Crosley Blog, maintained by Crosley lead author and historian Michael A. Banks.

You can visit it at http://crosleybook.blogspot.com/

Mike's new book about Ruth Lyons is scheduled to be released on Mothers Day 2009.
